Where she started
Lumina Pumpkin started out as a fun Autumn Character inspired by the Pottsfield Folks in the Cartoon Network show, Over the Garden Wall. She first started out as a drawing, then as a doll repaint. It remained as such until one fateful day, a large pumpkin was found at the local craft store and sparked the idea to make her into a reality.
The pumpkin was bought, the fabrics were gathered; almost everything needed for the project. But Halloween was too close to have her ready in time. So, she was packed away to be put together next year. After a long winter, when the sun began to melt away the snow, the passion was rekindled to begin the project.
The process was long and treacherous. The dress; measured twice, sowed once. The apron; ruffles embroidered and cinched with detailed pockets. The hat: wired and decorated. With the last brush stroke on the face, it was declared finished.
Now she is ready to share her wonderful character with folks who love the autumn season just as much as she does. Lumina, the pumpkin skelly gal, is here to bring joy and laughter to anyone's harvest celebration. But once the snow starts to fall, she has to pack up her things and say, “See y'all later!”. For she’ll be back around next autumn to spread more harvest joy.
